Crazy Old Biden and the Countdown to Kamala

President Joe Biden is a shadow of his former self. Long gone is the aggressive, pugnacious, and partisan Democrat who mistreated Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas in the latter's confirmation hearings. Today, Americans see a president who is clearly mentally diminished and is getting worse on a daily basis.

During the campaign, Biden refused to submit to a cognitive test. When asked by CBS News correspondent Errol Barnett if he would take a test, Biden snapped, "No, I haven't taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? Come on, man, that's like saying, before you got in this program, if you take a test where you're taking cocaine or not. What do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?"

There’s a battle going on between Khamenei and Biden

Biden is determined to return to the (to him) halcyon days of Obama’s Iran deal – an illegal treaty by which Obama gave Iran money and access to nuclear weapons. The real tragedy of Biden’s goal is that, thanks to Trump’s relentless pressure, Iran is on the ropes and Biden has the upper hand – he just doesn’t know this or, worse, doesn’t want to know it.

In Iran and the Middle East, when Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, emerges in public, people say he only speaks evil and issues threats. On Monday, February 22, after Iran and the IAEA reached a temporary agreement about nuclear surveillance, Khamenei announced that he would increase uranium enrichment to 60%. At his command, the IRGC ordered the armed Houthis to attach the Yemeni city of Marib, threatening the densely populated city. Iraqi armed groups loyal to IRGC attacked the U.S. embassy in Baghdad and targeted a US military base in Balad in central Iraq, injuring several civilians.

A glance at developments in the six weeks since Biden took office shows that Iran is testing the new White House. Khamenei and IRGC seem to have concluded that the new president is weak, in stark contrast to Trump. Neither Biden nor official Washington has spoken about Iran’s aggression and both the administration and the media downplayed, and denied responsibility for, the recent targeted strike in Syria.

Trump knows he won the election
During his speech at CPAC on Sunday afternoon, Donald Trump made no bones about the fact that he won the 2020 election. The reason he’s not in the White House is because of a system that was reconfigured for fraud and a cowardly Supreme Court. He also warned Americans worried about future elections that HR1, a bill the Congressional Democrats are pushing, will permanently ensconce election fraud.

In his first public speech since he left the White House, Trump made it perfectly clear that he knows he was cheated out of his election victory. During the course of laying out the Trumpism principles that should be at the center of the Republican Party, Trump said that one of the party’s primary goals should be to ensure “honest elections that can give everyone confidence in the future of his country.” Currently, no one has confidence. As matters stand, the process is completely corrupt.

The leftists’ arrogance will be their downfall

The left has grown drunk with power. All subtleties have been shoved aside, in favor of feeding the insatiable beast of their own success. You know all the examples, you’ve heard them, seen them, a hundred times over. They’re reiterated because, often, pundits offer no solutions, so they re-state the obvious.

The problem for the left is that they have created such ugliness along their pathway to temporary power. It’s just like a homeless encampment that can’t exist without creating mounds of fetid garbage. It’s inevitable since they’re circumventing the norms of society, where we do things like pay for trash pick-up. The homeless don’t pay property tax, rent, or take responsibility for themselves. Instead, they demand we take care of it all for them.

The left has preyed upon the country the same way. They won’t admit to destroying cities, businesses, or the livelihoods of citizens. They don’t have to because they control our tax money. They suffer no consequences from their decisions, just like the homeless in the encampment.

Listening to Mark and Ron – a taste of America as it used to be
Mark Levin’s interview with Governor Ron DeSantis on Sunday night struck me as so sane, so normal, that it almost had me weeping. Just when I’d despaired that common sense has flown the coop completely, they held a conversation where questions asked are answered honestly, without any conniving or dissembling.

A lot of the interview was about Florida’s response to COVID. You could almost hear Levin’s incredulity that DeSantis had grabbed the data offered to him at the beginning of the pandemic, analyzed it himself, and then made decisions for the state that bucked the common consensus. Florida has, in essence, been open all along.

Yes, a few businesses initially, but that was because the businesses themselves decided to do so. Schools have been open, sports have been played, and they have fared no worse -- in some ways, far better -- than the states that closed. They haven’t had an epidemic of suicides and depression. Florida has not had massive problems with other diseases being ignored in favor of COVID. Nor did Florida have worse case-counts of COVID than other, closed states.

One of the key things the governor did from the start was to focus on treating well the seniors in nursing homes. He refused to send COVID cases to these homes, saying the data didn’t support the need to do so. He said that if they ran out of hospital beds, he’d simply build field hospitals. As a result, the nursing home death binge never happened in his state.
