Same as before. Rankings from Rivals, Parade, Lemming, Emfinger, Scout, PrepStar, etc. aggregated to form a set of consensus rankings. Kids that signed w/ Arkansas or are from Arkansas were included, going back to 1993.
These are always interesting to me. I think the local rankings from experts like Otis are most accurate. It's simply too hard to cover the entire country, and know everything there is to know about every kid. It's impossible, actually. I like nat'l guys like Emfinger when it comes to kids in their neck of the woods (Texas and Louisiana for Max, who was the lone nat'l guy I know of who gave Clint Stoerner enough credit, for example).
Rivals has probably done the best job of covering the country accurately, from coast to coast, with their collection of local guys giving input to national guys. And their accuracy level is getting better each year, as their network improves, as camps are standardized (laser times, similar surfaces, kids measured by camp folks versus self reported, etc.).
Still, I like to look at the consensus opinions. They're interesting to me, and it also makes me feel a bit better when guys we're after are highly thought of by *everyone*, versus a random service here or there. (Though, interestingly enough, the only scientific study I'm aware of that examined whether there was correlation b/w recruiting rankings and future player performance determined that the only really important factor was that at least *one* major service thought you were good; not that all of them, or even most, did. Still, I like it when they all do.)
