The Arkansas football team held its 14th practice of the 2025 spring schedule on Thursday afternoon inside the Walker Pavilion in Fayetteville.
Media members were let in to view about 1.5 hours of practice, and as always, HawgBeat has plenty of notes for subscribers.
Provided below are key takeaways, overall themes from practice, a three-deep depth chart, results from live team periods and situational drives, kickers and more.

Notes/Tidbits
The Rundown
Practice officially began at approximately 3:50 p.m. CT and we walked out around 5:10 p.m. CT. We watched individual drills, fastball, one-on-ones, seven-on-seven, red zone work, blitz drills and two-minute drills.
Last practice of spring
Thursday was technically the last practice of spring football for the Razorbacks with the Red-White spring game scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. CT, although weather could cancel the event. It was the last spring practice for seniors with no more eligibility, plus those who are lucky enough to move onto the next level after this season.
Overall, I thought the team fared well given the amount of new faces and plenty of injuries. I think some transfers emerged on offense, such as Rohan Jones at tight end, O'Mega Blake at receiver and Mike Washington at running back. They have a lot of work to do in the portal on defense, but they have great leadership with linebackers Xavian Sorey Jr. and Stephen Dix Jr., along with defensive tackle Cam Ball, who did miss this spring due to offseason elbow surgery.
Pretty consistent order of appearance
The order of appearance (unofficial depth chart) has looked pretty consistent over the last few practices. I think they know what they have on the offensive line, at linebacker and probably at running back and tight end. There’s work to be done as far as competition in the wide receiver room, and they need more depth on the defensive line and in the secondary.
Listening in on Petrino
Offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino was on the sideline closest to us with his headset on relaying plays in to quarterbacks during some live 11-on-11 team periods. It was just cool to sit and listen in on his communication — some was with a happy tone, some was loud cussing.

Notable plays
- Madden Iamaleava hit Krosse Johnson on the left for a 25-yard gain.
- Ahkhari Johnson picked off a pass from KJ Jackson that was intended for C.J. Brown.
- During the 7-on-7 portion, Taylen Green threaded the needle over the middle for a touchdown to O’Mega Blake.
- Also during 7-on-7, Quentavius Scandrett picked off Grayson Wilson.
- Jaden Allen had a nice pass breakup on a throw from Jackson to Brown.
- Allen also broke up a pass from Jackson intended for Monte Harrison in the end zone.
- Iamaleava hit Kam Shanks on a hitch route and he turned up the field for a touchdown.
- Caleb Wooden had a tackle for loss on a run play from Taylen Green during red zone work.
- Also during red zone work, Green found Raylen Sharpe short of the end zone, but he caught it in double coverage and pushed through to score.
- Iamaleava hit running back JuJu Pope for a touchdown in red zone work. Nice throw, but an even nicer catch.
