Just wrapped up. I haven’t seen a link posted of the interview yet but found one his stories pretty interesting regarding his focus on attention to detail.

When CCM was interviewing for his high school assistant jobs, he would take a post it note or piece of paper and put it on the ground somewhere on the route where he would walk the candidates back to his office. He would place his body to make sure the candidate had to walk right past it. If the person picked it up without saying anything or throw it away nonchalantly, CCM would bring it up immediately to begin the interview. The purpose in the exercise was for him to see who would act how regardless of how big or small a task was.

He also said he would guess that he would end up hiring the person probably 90% of the time. It’s refreshing to hear something like this. It’s a far cry from the story we heard about JLS when they had to delay practice because no one had brought out footballs.
