Looking over their last 4 classes they have signed 82 players. Only 22 have been from the state of South Carolina. They've gone into the backyard of SEC powerhouses and taken 4 and 5 star recruits. It shows what a dynamic recruiter can do. It would be easy to make excuses for Clemson. They have to share talent with an SEC school. They have to go out of state to get talent and those states are mostly occupied with multiple traditional football powers. Clemson is a very small college town. It would be like putting the U of A in Bella Vista, but you had to drive to Fayetteville for anything fun to do. Yet, somehow they can land top 15 recruiting classes and we can't.
