From QB Mechanics Specialist Trenton Kirklin:

Here was his initial assessment on KJ:
"KJ’s ceiling is extremely high. He “could” get there and then you have something special. But can he process (physically/mentally/emotionally) and reach that ceiling is the question. Put on a tape of this kid and then a tape of Jett Duffey or Stidham. What scares me is you literally never see a “bullet slant” or a “in the hole shot” that just absolutely gets there. He’s like Gerry Bohanen where he is so big but has no idea about mechanics and tries to “body” it in there. He’s a catapult instead of a whip."

KJ v. Tajh Boyd (in high school)
"Very very similar running styles comparing TB and KJ. Especially their sideline moves/body language. TB was very raw mechanically (IMO). His reactive throws and deep balls were much more fluid opposed to the typical “on schedule” throws. Those look similar to kJ in the sense that they aren’t the most fluid or “natural” looking but find a way to get it there."

KJ v. Deshaun Watson
"DS was way ahead of the two regarding the mental part of the game. DS displays much more control of the offense (checks, tags, I.D., etc.). He also was much more of a true full Field profession QB. He holds on a second longer than the other two with more of a desire to dish the ball rather than use his feet. Mechanically he’s much more consistent with his stroke. It didn’t vary from throw to throw. It was much longer than it is now which is something I’m sure Morris had influence on. While it was a longer strike, it was more quick twitch and fluid. I would say comparing the three, KJ and TB show the most commonalities. DS just seemed much more ahead of the game in every facet."

"That being said, Morris has a knack for identifying good QBs, developing them, and doing his best to get them as close to their “ceiling” as possible."
