What’s so fúcking stupid and ignorant about that tweet is that it infers Dems would go out as graciously as McCain did, and only current day R’s refuse to accept the results. If the tweeter wanted to be completely honest, they should have said “we will never see another political candidate like this ever again.”
That’s just a perfect example as to why I hate politics and partisan media (i.e. basically 99.9% of any media) in general. It’s also a major reason our country is so divided that we can’t have genuine political discourse without becoming enraged (outside of The Grim Bottom).
And I’m not just singling out D’s here; it comes from both sides (although I feel like D’s are much more guilty of it, but that’s most likely due to the much greater volume of left leaning media outlets than anything). Damn I wish a legitimately central, objective mainstream media outlet would emerge, but that wouldn’t be profitable at all so it won’t happen.
