According to HogStats, the Hogs' minus-29 rebounding margin last night at LSU was their worst he has on record - since the 1981-82 season. It beat out the previous worst by a whopping three rebounds.

Furthermore, it's incredible Arkansas lost by only two points and had the ball with a chance to tie or win in the closing seconds.

Using the play index on the college hoops sports-reference site, I found that there had been 148 DI vs. DI games with one team out-rebounding the other by at least 29 since the 2010-11 season, before last night. ... The teams who got demolished on the boards were 1-147 with an average scoring margin of minus-34.1.

On Feb. 2, 2012, James Madison got out-rebounded 45-16 (minus-29), yet somehow found a way to beat Towson - on the road! - by two, 58-56.

Other than that game, the out-rebounded team managed to keep it within single digits just nine times, with three falling in overtime.
