Does anyone have the sense that Muss knew he'd get fired here after this season?

With Josh Cohen as the big man, and probably no real NBA players on the roster (and no DJ, Fland or Davis like we had this year), I can only imagine this season would have been awful compared with last year. Do you figure the reason Muss was looking to get out from here when it did was because he saw this coming and bolted before the program wiped out and Hunter told him to leave? I watched a few USC games this year, including their blowout loss to UCLA. I don't think he would have had Claude here, and I just don't see much talent for him out there, and it seemed like everybody was planning to leave here anyway. Were any of those guys that had eligibility still going to hang around? Can't imagine Brazile was. Devo was gone. Mark was probably gone, no? Battle? Who were the assistants going to be?
