Anyone from Dover/have kids that have played Dover?

I have heard that Dover has a transgender player on their girls team, that has been on hormones since grade school and has gone to court to have her birth cert changed to female, which the Dover superintendent thinks is legal. There is a law/bill out there that prevents transgender student athletes from competing in their non bio sex sporting events.

The player from Dover looks every bit of a boy playing girls, build and play wise.

Not sure how/why it hadnt been brought up before? Maybe people are scared to talk about it? Their are some investigative journalists on the story right now doing their due diligence. Would hate for it to be true and a state championship be tarnished by something so easy to not do (break the law).

I am genuinely curious because I know there has to be some parents out there like WTF when they play them. I dont think it matters because I dont think they will win state, but hate that it takes away from other teams making it through the tournament because they got beat by a him.


According to some people that keep up with 3A girls hoops (I guess that is a thing) Dover is the best team in the state record wise, and has some good talent around Logan. But they will get out athleted at some point. They havent played a fast athletic team all year, so they say.

From what I know she has not ever taken hormones. She has a twin sister that is more girly. She is good but they have two other really good players. The girl you are talking about has signed with Arkansas Tech and the point guard moved in this year from Atkins has signed with Henderson State. Then they have a junior that will have a chance to play college ball. At that level with 3 solid players and a coach that know what they are doing it will lead to a lot of wins. The sad part is this girl has played forever and now because they are the top team people want to make it an issue.

It was always an issue for the lower team girls playing against them all this time. It’s now a problem since that they are ridiculously good.

See I figured a lot of the talk is just people mad they got beat but people swear up and down and they the superintendent claimed she had a court ordered changed birth cert to make her a girl. I was seriously curious as seems like we should have some folks here that know more than most.

I have not heard that one yet. I have heard people think she is taking hormones to make her more of a guy but I do not think that is the case at all. I just think it is poor sports that get beat by them and have to have an excuse.
