Saw this posted in the Hoops Big Board thread, but figured it was worth its own thread, as well...
Payton Willis, the No. 129 overall prospect in the Class of 2016, has entered the portal as a graduate transfer. He played at Fayetteville High and was part of that in-state class that featured Malik Monk at Bentonville and Mitchell Smith at Van Buren, all of whom signed with other SEC schools. Willis spent two years at Vanderbilt before transferring to Minnesota. He sat out last year because of NCAA transfer rules and then was a starter for the Gophers this year. Pretty sure he missed some time with an injury, but he averaged 8.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 30.3 minutes. He has just one year of eligibility remaining.
