The Razorbacks had a heavy dose of official visitors over the weekend, quite a few of them being recruits in the class of 2024 who are already committed to the program.
One of those was four-star wide receiver Courtney Crutchfield of Pine Bluff. He committed to Arkansas on April 21, and said his visit over the weekend reaffirmed that Arkansas is his home.
"At the end of the day this is most definitely the place I want to be," Crutchfield said. "I'm here to put on for the city. I've got to do what I've got to do to get here early and get the job done."
Crutchfield also had good things to say about head coach Sam Pittman after his visit.
"Coach Sam Pittman, man he really inspired me," Crutchfield said. "A really nice coach. All he needs is the pieces to get the job done. Of course things will change when my class comes up. When I get here we're gonna takeover for sure."
Now ranked the No. 3 player in the state of Arkansas for the 2024 class by Rivals, Crutchfield said the highlight of his trip was the food at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
"I mean that's a highly-rated restaurant," Crutchfield said. "The food was good. You've got to be one hell of a man to take your entire team out to Ruth's Chris. That was big-time."
The Pine Bluff native's recruitment was closely tied to another highly-rated prospect, four-star defensive end Charleston Collins. Crutchfield and Collins oftentimes took visits to the same schools together, and it's been reported the two wanted to play together in college.
For Pine Bluff, Crutchfield plays on both sides of the ball at wide receiver and defensive back. Arkansas is primarily recruiting him to play wide receiver.
