I know there’s a lot o business folks with leadership experience (@jegreenwood please no) on the Bert, and wanted some advice. I’ve just got promoted into a leadership position and get to hire my replacement that will report to me. I’ve got three candidates that I liked, but there is one that’s résumé is far and away even better than mine, but he’s almost 15 years older than me. This would be my first time as a manager in Corporate America and the thought of having someone that much older, and with a resume that blows mine away, concerns me. Any advice on eliminating that from my concerns or if it’s a legitimate thing to weigh. Appreciate your thoughts.
