My earliest memory of basketball is being taken to high school games in NWA by my parents when I was 2 or 3. They said I was always standing up and yelling things, by far the loudest person in our section. My dad would often take me and my brother to local courts to shoot around.
I didn't start playing basketball competitively until one day when I was about 14, I was on a court, shot a ball from about 45 feet out and it banked in, and I thought, "Maybe I'll try this game." I've never been a good shooter so my forte became distributing and defense.
