Its Time We See The First

I don't think we'll see a female football coach, at a high level, in any of our lifetimes.

I do think a female basketball coach, in either D1 or the NBA, will happen within the next 10 to 20 years though.

If you guys were fish you'd all get caught every day. JRH is laughing his A off that you all have taken this post seriously. Then he just kept playing it out when the suckers started biting and going into sexism and society. Pretty hysterical really

I'd call it a cheap diversion. eekhog

I think we will see a female head coach in the NBA or at a Power 5 school before you see a female coach at any D1 level. The Spurs have an assistant they love, I think she is 40 so who's to say in 10 years she won't be the HC. It seems like the window for women cloese much faster than it does men. This is why I don't see a woman D1 HC in the next 25 years. Take female golfers for instance, you see a LPGA player dominating but it never last long. When women reach their mid 30's they are having kids or have kids, it all changes for women. I'm not saying women are not capable of it but it will take a rare woman to do it.

I mean, if you think about it women are completely running GOT now.

Dany, Sansa and Arya, the lady who's running Dorne now, the head of the Tulleys, Cersi Lannister, etc. Even that 10-year old girl runs a house.

A lady isn't running the Tulleys...A lady is running house Mormont. I wouldn't say they are completely running GOT...John Snow is now the king in the north and he's the only one who knows what needs to be done.

why? Just because something can happen does not mean it needs to. Just like having women in combat roles is a bad idea, I think women coaching men's football just because is silly as well.
Female head coach at a Division 1 football program. I just don't understand how we haven't yet. There is nothing written that says a woman is not capable of understanding the game of football at the same depth a man can. I know plenty of women that can talk X's and O's for days and are natural born leaders, I think it would be cool to see happen over the next decade and wouldnt be upset if Arkansas went that direction if something were to ever happen to Bret.

As a woman, I vote nay. Not because a woman cant be a head coach, but because of the very reasons Trey has pointed out. You can't just throw a woman into a D1 head coaching job because there isn't one.

Now, I'm all for female assistant coaches, quality control ect. Those are entry level jobs and women are new to football. Give it a few years (10-15) and then you should see more female head coaches, if they are qualified.

With all that being said, I typically know more about college football than the men I date. I don't know if that says a lot about my football acumen or my bad taste in men.

I'm guessing you're in favor of transgenders using bathroom according to their identity alignment

Obviously a communist subversive.

Wtf

This whole thread is asinine. Why bring up this absurdity about a woman coaching a man's sport ????? I hate it when women gripe, complain and finally file suit to join a club designed and created for men. Isn't it enough that women have their own clubs ??? WHY all this crap about "eqality" between genders ??? If it's a company or work related...if a woman can do the same work as a man then by all means she deserves the same pay.

But this mess about a woman coaching a college or pro football team...heck, even a HS team...is just dumb.

When a woman goes through college and pro football and accomplishes a decent amount on the field then and ONLY THEN would I even entertain the thought of one possibly coaching. Until then....put this insanity to rest. Its like liberals stirring up crap that's just completely uncalled for....

Clearly bad taste in men ;)

I figure it will be time when there is a woman that moves up the ranks and has the talent/experience to be a HC.

It would be just as dumb to hire a woman that isn't ready just because she is a woman as it would be to not hire a woman that is ready because she is a woman.

Jon Snow is king of the north? Someone better tell this guy.

Why do have to HAVE this? Can't we just let a product continue to be what it is before we change it JUST to be changing it? Whether good or bad, why the need to go around "makng changes" just so you feel like we've done something. I love the Ms America pagent the way it is. I dont need to see a dude in a bikini just for sh*ts and giggles. Let's let the best person for the job get the job and stop forcing everybody to NEED something that's not NEEDED. It's a product, not a political movement here. Btw, In no way am I saying that women aren't capable, THEY ARE. They just don't have to be forced into something just so people can say they did it. Just imo. Carry on.
I really think Rosie O'Donnell would make a great next Razorback head coach. We should demand it! ;)
