And now he's earning $1 million a year for at least the next 3 years as the new OC at LSU. Think about that. Fans scream and holler here about Robb Smith as DC. The coordinator can only do so much with his players. John Chavis is supposed to be the greatest (and one of the highest paid) DC's in the country and he was giving up 53 points to LSU by season's end at A&M, after all the writers early in the season were wowed about how he had "turned A&M's defense around in his second year."

Again, it might be about the players you have.

With Guice and all the other RB's LSU seems to find, the WRs, the OL, the TE, if he can find a QB, Canada might look all world at LSU. The coaching fraternity must have thought something of Canada in his one season at Pitt (taking over for the overrated Jim Chaney, who proves it's players but playcalling does matter) after being fired by NC State by being named a finalist for the Broyles Award.
