My initial reaction was, well, anger. But anger at whom? At first, it was Rivals because I figured they did something to cause Trey and Danny to leave. Then I realized it was apparently Trey and Danny that moved on. Should I be angry at them? No, I don't think so. I think they are actually hoping for better things with the move. I certainly have no anger toward the new guys running the site. They haven't done anything wrong. But, ultimately, I am back being angry with Rivals because the new guys appear to be a significant downgrade from the prior staff. Not their fault. They are young and at least one has no Arkansas roots. Maybe they'll be able to bring some interesting new aspects, but they can't possibly match Danny's ability to connect with recruits or Trey's ability to place current events in the historical context of Razorback football. The new in this case is simply not comparable to the old. So, I will be moving on (not that anyone cares except me).
