It will mark the first time Arkansas has played two charity exhibitions in one season as well as the first time the program will play two NCAA Division I programs in preseason exhibitions. Arkansas also hosts Kansas in a charity exhibition on Oct. 25.

Arkansas has faced TCU 143 times in regular-season games and owns a 105-38 advantage in the series, including a 4-2 mark in neutral-site games and a 46-21 advantage in games played on TCU’s campus in Fort Worth.

TCU, which is coming off its third straight NCAA appearance for the first time in program history, is one of six teams the Razorbacks have faced at least 100 times in its history, joining Texas A&M (169), Texas (155), SMU (155), Baylor (145) and Rice (144), and one of three teams the Hogs have beaten at least 100 times, joining Texas A&M (108) and Rice (103).

The Razorbacks and Horned Frogs last met on Jan. 25, 2020, in Bud Walton Arena – ending a 28-year drought in the series – as part of the SEC-Big 12 Challenge. Jimmy Whitt Jr., and Mason Jones each scored 20 points in the 78-67 Razorback win.

This will be just the 14th time Arkansas has played an exhibition away from Fayetteville and just the third time the Razorbacks have played outside the state for an exhibition game.

The last time Arkansas played a road exhibition was Oct. 29, 2022, at Texas in a game to christen the Longhorns’ new basketball facility – the Moody Center. Texas won, 90-60. The other out-of-state exhibition for Arkansas came prior to the 1978-79 season when the Razorbacks traveled to Anaheim, Calif., to face Athletes in Action for an exhibition on Dec. 9, 19878, a game the Hogs lost, 75-68.

Arkansas has played 10 exhibition games in Little Rock, the last coming on Nov. 20, 1991, and posted a 9-1 record. The Razorbacks played once in Pine Bluff, a 97-69 win over the Brazilian Nationals on Nov. 10, 1976.

Arkansas is 73-10 all-time in exhibition games.

Dickies Arena has previously served as the home of the American Athletic Conference men’s and women’s basketball tournament, NCAA Men’s Basketball first and second round games and the 2021 and 2022 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championship.

TCU played the first college basketball game in Dickies Arena, an 80-78 loss to the USC Trojans on Dec. 6, 2019, and are 4-1 in the venue all-time with victories over Arizona State (2023), SMU (2022), Utah (2021) and Texas A&M (2020). TCU will play Vanderbilt in Dickies Arena on Dec. 8 in the U.S. LBM Coast to Coast Classic.
