Looking to purchase an Assault Rifle for the ranch and pig hunting/killing.

Any suggestions? I have never owned one. I know you can add a lot of aftermarket stuff to some of them and was
curious if anyone had any suggestions on brands and features I should look for?

Thanks for the help

I purchased Olympic arms AR in 5.56. Can use both 5.56 or .223 ammunition. From my research, the.223 can't use the 5.56, so make sure you get the 5.56. I purchased flip up iron/peep sights, a holographic site, and 4 way picatenny(pretty sure I misspelled that) rail, and several rounds of ammo from Bryant pawn shop. Brand new. Solid buy.$1,100. I know it sounds strange buying from a pawn shop, but this place is amazing. It looks like a friggin arsenal. More weapons than any place I've been. 50 cals assault rifles, whatever. Priced right, knowledgeable, and great staff in Bryant

I have a Colt, DPMS and Rock River. All are quality but the RR is my favorite. I recommend a flat top, a quad rail and rail on the bottom of the gas block. My RR is set up this way and with an EO tech. It's badass.
