called Bicep2 this experiment looked for the remnants of gravitational waves from the rapid expansion of the early universe that would essentially prove the 30 year theory called Cosmic Inflation was actually correct.

This video is of a participant and author of the experiment at the South Pole delivering the news of their discovery to the Theoretical physicist who with a partner came up with the Inflation Theory.

I like it.

Unfortunately, the people that do not "believe" in the Big Bang, Evolution, and science in general will not really understand the basics of what they are talking about. "God" is much easier for most minds to comprehend.

Its only called the Big Bang theory because the early cosmologist that noticed the expansion of the universe said ' hey its like a big bang happened'

the correct term would be Big Expansion, the theory that best fits all the data we see in astronomy now is called Cosmic Inflation and this discovery essentially confirms it happened as foreseen in the math...This is seeing what took place 10-37 seconds into the life of our universe...before gravity separated from the other forces...if this discovery is further confirmed by the Plank telescope this is a monumental human discovery.

Wow that was fast....Once again someones religiousness screws it up for everybody.

Quite possibly one of the single greatest human discoveries in our lifetime and we cant talk like grown ups about it because someone's religion is offended...cracks me up.
