This one has always been a head scratcher to me, but is it a southern or Alabama thing as to why "Jordan-Hare" is pronounced "Jurdan-Hare"?
The only other comparison it reminds me of is how people from Kentucky or particularly Louisville correct you in saying, "it's Lou-ah-vul" (but that one at least makes sense bc it truly is a colloquial thing).
