I’m sure it’s been said but the whole thing is on Joe Foucha’s Instagram live. I heard the entire meeting he recorded, it was hard to hear but I got probably 90% of it transcribed. Things I took away from it are:
- He’s no where near as methodical/flashy/rehearsed as Chad Morris.
-He basically said team toughness will be the priority
- “however you got here, you’re here, not gonna be anything about so & so recruited this guy or this guy”
-said “why can’t we get back to old Razorback tradition” also “this is the university of Arkansas there’s no where better you can transfer to”
-“we’re at the university of damn Arkansas and we’re gonna get it done together”
-mentioned school work needs to be done
-said they’ll get after it this week in the weight room
- he will hire a staff that cares about the players and will listen to their perspective and one that demands hard work
-got 450 texts to look at tonight, 100 are from coaches interested in coaching for him
-said he’s just “a country boy”
that’s the biggest points I remember. The team seemed pretty excited. Pittman did sound a little out of place/unsure at times on just what to say.
