OT SIAP - Paul Rhoads Scheme Question

With Smith likely on the way out, Rhoads looks like a solid candidate to be the new DC. Can anyone share their knowledge on his scheme he ran as DC at Pitt and Auburn, and how effective they were? I'm assuming he had a degree of success as he earned a Power-5 HC job based upon his record.
