The thing thst intrigued me is the NIL they raised (THIER boosters call it “ Now It’s Legal” 😁) . Alum David Miller raised $100million from other alums with a snap of the finger. ) It’s a fairly quick read. But for TLDR crowd :
-David Miller, whose signature graces the court at Moody Coliseum, told Yahoo he wasn’t “losing sleep” over a couple hundred million dollars.
Then he proved it by raising $100 million in the first week after the announcement.
For such a small school, SMU sure has a big bottom line. Hard to imagine another university its size that could get four donations of $10 million, 38 of at least $1 million and 82 of at least six figures at one whack. The Boulevard Collective pays every last football and basketball player $36,000 a year.
