you said he couldn't hit shots on the road ... you said he couldn't hit shots against good teams ... you said he couldn't contribute unless he was making 3s ...

Well, in the last 3 games alone spanning 9 days (includes the 0-fer at KY that got so many of the experts here up in arms), he scored 14 points (5-of-8 FGs including 4-of-7 from 3) in a close home win over RPI Top 50 Texas A&M, and he scored 17 points (6-of-10 FGs including 5-of-8 from 3) in a close road win at SCar, but the biggest play was an offensive rebound and putback to trim the SCar lead to one possession, 73-70, with just over 2 minutes to play in the game. He also had 1 of the Hogs' 3 blocked shots tonight.

So, including the KY loss where he went 0-fer-5, Bell has scored 31 points in these last 3 games (10.3 per game) on 11-of-23 FGs (including 9-of-19 from 3), while also grabbing 3 rebounds, dishing out 4 assists, with 1 steal and 1 block ... while averaging 16.7 minutes per game in that stretch.

Bottom line is, we won two games (TAMU and SCar) by a combined 10 points, so ABell's combined 31 sure came in handy, didn't they??? And, he certainly made more plays than just knocking down shots. We all know Bell is not a stat-sheet stuffer -- he is a gun, a shooter who can score points in bunches -- but let's give him a little credit for his important role that has helped this team get to where it is today at 24-6 and clearly the 2nd-best team in the SEC at a very strong 13-4.
