Markis Deal, a 5.8 four-star DT from Naaman Forest HS in Garland, Texas, was at each of Arkansas' first two spring practices. He attended Sunday's practice and then got to spend yesterday at Arkansas, as well. He stayed with his grandma, who lives in Bella Vista.
"I had a great time today," Deal told me last night. "I got to hangout with coaches and players the whole day and visit some facilities."
He visited for a football game last fall (I can't remember which one off the top of my head), but the Hogs have of course changed coaches at his position since then. They replaced Jermial Ashley with Deke Adams, who he got to meet yesterday.
"He seemed like a great coach," Deal told me. "He has a great connection with his players even though he hasn't been there long, which shows that he takes time to get to know you and I think that's important. Also, I got to watch a meeting and learn from him."
