Arkansas sports are suffering because many, myself included, has become too patient. Fans have become ok with 7-5 and no NCAA tournament appearances in the name of "doing it the right way" or "going in the right direction." Jeff Long, the boss of the program,is where that mentality starts. He stated on the Bo Mattingly show last year that he didn't consider Mike Anderson's first three seasons because of how fractured the program had become. I'm sure Bret Bielema and his 12 million dollar buyout has the same grace. At some point you have to put some pressure on coaches to win. This is not a national championship or bust post for either program, but right now both programs are underperforming. Both programs were in the dumps no doubt about that. At some point, though, it's time to say either you are going to get it done or you aren't and at this stage neither coach looks like they are going to get it done. Maybe that will change but it needs to change swiftly. Even the most patient are tired of losing.
