2022 SUMMARY
A native of Houston, McGlothern played his first two seasons at LSU before transferring to Arkansas prior to last year.During the 2022 season, the former four-star prospect totaled 52 tackles, one tackle for loss, four interceptions and two forced fumbles. He had a season-high 10 tackles against Kansas in the Liberty Bowl. His interceptions came against Cincinnati, South Carolina, Alabama and Kansas.
The 6-foot-2 cornerback finished the season with a defense grade of 77.2, pass rush grade of 57.7, coverage grade of 76.0 and run defense grade of 84.5, according to Pro Football Focus.
2023 OUTLOOK
Selected to the Preseason All-SEC Second Team, McGlothern is projected to be the top cornerback on the Arkansas roster in 2023. He was also named preseason Second Team All-SEC by Phil Steele and First Team All-SEC by Athlon.In a secondary with many new faces, defensive coordinator Travis Williams will lean on McGlothern's experience and talent to lock up the top receiving option for opposing offenses.
Fans should expect another All-SEC season for McGlothern, who has the potential to grow his NFL Draft stock this fall.
