I have confirmed what I suspected. The UA, despite Petrino's original desire to sign 1 QB per year, will not sign a QB in this class, as of right now (always subject to change), unless that QB is an athlete who is capable of eventually moving to defense. Otherwise, BP will just wait and try to sign at least the two instate kids next year (I say at least because Griswold isn't out of mix either).
Don't expect a large number of JC kids in this class. Next year's junior class will be large in numbers and BP doesn't want to have a top heavy class choosing instead to have the classes fairly equal in numbers. Cuts down on having to rebuild in SEC. They are all over Brandon Mosley, would also like to have a DLM and probably a CB too though with Winston and Gordon coming on in practice they may get by without a JC CB though they are taking a long, long look at Omar Leftwich. They do want a DLM though, probably prefer DE. Mosley has a standing offer and is near top of board on wishlist. Mosley is a priority recruit.
They are trying to get Dyer, but are also covering their bases if he doesn't come.
They consider Big Tex an athlete who can play a lot of positions. He will get his shot at RB, but they want him as an athlete.
UA feels they can win this game on Saturday, not keep it close, if they play their game.
