Absolutely. He's a proven hitter with pop.

People wrote him off as being timid or just sucking. There was obviously something physically causing his lack of productivity. Players just don't forget how to hit to that degree.

So Kendall had a torn labrum? After this happening with Stovall last year, why didn't they know it was torn, and to shut him down.

It does give you hope that if he comes back, he would be a completely different player. Stovall, in 2023 before and after the injury was a 180. Same as Diggs. And obviously Stovall was a much, much better hitter this season.

So that's at least three guys who've had that injury since 2019. At least two were caused by sliding into a base (Diggs, Goodheart). All three went from at least solid to unplayable once hurt.

My guess is we’ll see if Hachman can throw enough strikes to even get a shot here. From what I’ve heard since he got here it gives me Wohlgemuth vibes unfortunately

It was always about balance, not about ignoring one for the other. 2019 team hit 88 HRs and stole 81 bases. The 2021 MSU team that won it all hit 75 HRs and stole 74 bases. There’s more than one way to win and it’s harder to win at Baum relying solely on the long ball than Lindsey Nelson (for instance).
