David McCollum who wrote for the Log Cabin Democrat in Conway passed away earlier today. He covered prep sports in the Conway area as well as the UCA Bears. In regards to sports journalists in Arkansas, he is an institution. Always kind, always knowledgable, and always a great writer. We lost a good one today.
