My Dad is from a little Town called Oak Harbor, Ohio. It's right by Port Clinton, which sits right on Lake Erie. We lived there for a couple of years and spent many summers there. The July 4th always reminds me of a week of Perch and Walleye fishing and a big ole City party and fireworks show at the Park. Everyone knew each other and everyone was there. Early teen years and there were more teen girls than boys. Seemed like we stayed out there 10-12 hours and it was just sheer, kid fun.
Even though it doesn't seem that long ago, it was.
