Pretty much pounded everyone until Texas and then played for a conference championship almost every year. Also was considered in the conversation as one of the best teams in the USA with USC Notre Dame Alabama Michigan Ohio State Penn State and Texas for about 2 decades. Cover of Sports Illustrated etc. Yes it was a conference that was rather Texas biased.
