Washington committed to Utah through the transfer portal Dec. 15, but a visit to Arkansas seemingly made him rethink his decision.

ball movement was great
3 point shooting wasn’t there today but the looks were. TB WAS GREAT

Arkansas vs. North Carolina A&T

From @DanielFair

The Arkansas Razorbacks (9-2, 0-0 SEC) will host the North Carolina A&T Aggies (3-9, 0-1 CAA) for a non-conference matchup Saturday at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.

The Razorbacks are on a four-game win streak and most recently took down the UCA Bears, 82-57, at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock last Saturday. The game before that was an electric 89-87 win over then-No. 14 Michigan at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 10.

Arkansas shot the ball extremely well against UCA and finished 60% from the field and 45% from deep. The Hogs' offense was a well-oiled machine and had 23 assists on 33 made buckets in the contest.

The Aggies of NC A&T are led by second-year head coach Monte Ross. He was an assistant at Temple for four years and spent 10 years as the head coach at Delaware prior to that. Last season, NC A&T finished 7-25 and 5-13 in the Coastal Athletic Association.

There are several interesting ties between the Aggies and the Razorbacks in Saturday's matchup. NC A&T junior guard Jordan Martin is the son of Arkansas assistant coach Chuck Martin. North Carolina A&T's leading scorer, Landon Glasper, is a Fayetteville native and was at Fayetteville High School while Arkansas staff member Ronnie Brewer was on staff.

SEC Basketball in 24-25

Anyone ever seen anything like this?

I can honestly say I have never ever seen anything like this. My earliest Arkansas basketball memories are with our crowd in reunion arena in 1990 chanting "we want Duke". That was a very long time ago. We were in for an amazing run during that period with Nolan.
I've been watching college basketball for a very long time and I've never seen anything close to this where all 16 league teams can actually make the NCAA tournament. Everyone is good and everyone has good wins in the non league section of the schedule.

I guess the team or teams that will be left out of post season will be the ones that struggle to get wins in SEC play. Every single one of those 18 games will be a huge game and getting league wins on the road will be an event. You truly cannot look up and down our schedule and say "oh yea that's a dub". Our team has a high ceiling. I think we will be okay. I believe we can go on a solid run if we can just get in. My worry is that our rotation is just so short and we've been so banged. I have doubts that we will be in one piece by the time March rolls around. Hopefully these next couple weeks we can mend then start rollin when we get to Knoxville on 1-4.

Arkansas portal recap + where things stand for prospects

OKAY, this morning was obviously big for Arkansas when it comes to the portal, and I think a refresh is needed as we move toward the weekend...

~ Like mentioned above, Arkansas locked down Georgia Tech OT Corey Robinson II and UCF C Caden Kitler. Absolutely massive pickups, but I think the Hogs still want one more there. Perhaps Ole Miss G Kavion Broussard, who should be visiting today/tomorrow?

~ I like the spot Arkansas is in for the two DBs, Adrion Maddox (UAB) and Jordan Young (Cincinnati). Maddox was obviously teammates with Kam Shanks, Arkansas' new WR pickup, and Young has connections to Deron Wilson in their Florida days.

~ I have confirmed with Texas State RB Ismail Mahdi that an announcement should come this weekend. Like the Hogs' chances there, still trying to identify what the other RB targets are for Arkansas.

~ Charlotte WR O'Mega Blake visited yesterday. Haven't heard a peep from him, but Arkansas needs a deep threat and he's as good as it gets.

~ Abilene Christian DT David Oke just wrapped up a USC visit, and Georgia DT Jamaal Jarrett still has some visits. You never like it when they leave campus without a commitment, but I think Arkansas should be able to get at least one of these guys.

~ Kentucky landed Oklahoma WR JJ Hester and just hosted Alabama WR Kendrick Law.

~ Interestingly, Tusculum transer WR Za'ron Collins tells me he's talked to Arkansas and is working on visit plans. Don't know much about this one just yet.

~ Arizona transfer TE Keyan Burnett tells me he's heard from the Hogs, but is still working things out to find the best fit.

~ Courtney Crutchfield is expected to portal from Missouri. REALLY like Arkansas' chances there.

I'm sure I've forgotten something or missed somebody, so feel free to ask questions and I'll do my best to answer!

So, Luke Hasz was going to South Carolina, until Loggains became a HC

What is Loggains' attraction anyway? I thought he was not liked here or did some behind-the-back stuff and got pee'od when he wasn't going to be the successor to Briles? SC fans don't seem too unhappy he went to App State. His credentials for his job, though on paper look pretty good thanks to his relationship to Adam Gase, are as paper-thin as Sam's for being a head coach, I don't care about all his so-called NFL experience. And I'm sure both Beamer and this wizard of a quarterback Sellers has made his play-calling look better than it was.
Anyway, back to the point, Hasz was already planning during the season to move on to Loggains and South Carolina. I'm sure Loggains or somebody close was making it plain that Hasz wasn't being targeted enough, etc. etc.
But when Loggains got the App State job, Hasz had to make a last-second change of plans and Kiffin was there with a life raft to get out of here.
This comes from the Hasz inner circle, fwiw.
