This is greatness. All crammed in together. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day games. Christmas and New Years Day are both on Friday this year, so many people will have a 3-4 day weekends loaded with college and pro football.

Arkansas knocked off No. 15 Auburn 2-1 tonight to clinch its second straight SEC West title. It comes on the same day as the men and women swept the SEC cross country championships.

This is the first game that I've really felt excited about seeing how we stack up. A&M is a legit football team and this will be a great benchmark to gauge where we stand. I feel like we will be able to better predict the last half of the season, Sunday morning.

Can our D stop Spiller? Can they contain Mond? Will the DBs continue their unprecedented run? Will Hudson Clark stay consistent? Can Fileepaye and Co. get the offense rolling? Can we count on Boyd to not fold like a cheap suit at contact? Will Knox be advantageous over the inexperienced and smaller Aggies DBs? Can Scott Fountain go more than a quarter without ing something up?

6:30 PM Saturday seems like a LONG ways off, but it'll be here before we know it. In the meantime, I will be chewing my fingernails off.

So the thread about Keith Jackson and subsequent post by @HeightsHog reminded me of my giant database of in-state football players who signed with FBS schools out of high school.

I’ve got a pretty good list of guys back through the 1994 class. Before then, it’s pretty much limited to those who signed with the Hogs (thanks to my old media guides) and lacking on those who signed elsewhere.

That’s where you guys come in. Help me add dudes to my list.

(NOTE: These are only guys who signed with FBS schools, not FCS or DII. It’s also those who signed with FBS schools straight out of HS - so someone like Cortez Kennedy wouldn’t be included. It also doesn’t include walk-ons, so Don Hutson - who was a walk-on football player at Alabama - isn’t included.)

If they lose this week, it’s going to get really ugly.

Been hearing for a week or more now that Ethan Henderson could be in trouble again and potentially removed from the team. The same person that leaked the Reggie Chaney info to me has said that E is off the team. Nothing is “confirmed” yet, but that gives me three sources now saying the same thing, two of them being my most reliable.
