FB Recruiting Ebony Jackson

Some of yall may have noticed him tweeting a Hog yesterday so i caught up with him. He says he's been talking to the staff and he's really improved his grades since they've had to do school work from home. He said they've discussed coming to Arkansas in the fall if his final grades are good but he didn't respond whether he could/would be on scholarship.

Oaklawn Park, Saturday

Well, another Season will have come and gone after the last race today, I hope you pick the winner and that he goes on to win the Kentucky Derby, why not shoot for the Triple Crown of Horse Racing?

Might move to NWA

So, I’m a special kind of idiot that decided to quit their job during a global pandemic. Questionable decision making aside (it was the right decision), wife and I are thinking about moving to NWA.

Kansas City winters are getting old, and I like the idea of my one year old daughter getting outdoors as a kid.

Neither of us have lived in NWA outside of our college years, but we were thinking about the Rogers area.

Obviously all depends on jobs, but anybody regret moving back?

NBCSN doing it right

Showed the Arkansas Derby stuff live from Oaklawn and have been showing college football classics the last few evenings. Last night they had the 1984 Orange Bowl between Miami and Nebraska. Watched that whole thing again. I remember watching about all of them so far. Most of the time when a channel shows a classic game it’s like from last year. Right now is the 1975 Rose Bowl between Ohio State and USC. That’s when football was football, with a head coach that would punch your ass out. Right off the bat here an OSU player blocked a punt with his junk. Straight to the crotch. Didn’t stop the game at all for it. Back then it was a guy under each arm and to the sideline.

FB Recruiting Searcy brings in new WR/DB

A buddy of mine tipped me off about a very good player moving into the state a month or so ago. His name is Marlon Crockett, 6-4, 190 of Gregory-Portland in Texas. His cousin is Damarea Crockett, former Mizzou running back. He will be attending Searcy.

I will be looking to contact his coach in the coming week to talk with Crockett.

FB Recruiting "Off the board"

I know we've been seeing a lot of these lately, just wanted to update yall on the numbers.

239 offers out
165 undecided
58 left are 4 stars or higher
49 undecided prospects are ranked in the Rivals250, a lot of them have cut their lists down already but it would take me a minute to seperate them out

Given the hit rate ranges from like 6%-10%, I'm guessing at this point the Hogs get a handful of 4-stars in this class.
