The mistake you guys make here is that just because I was anti-Trump, you guys labeled me some far left extremist. I don't like Biden either, but I thought Trump was the most morally corrupt President we ever had. Policies are important to me, but so is voting for a guy that I can respect and my kids can look up to.

But, back to the topic. Gas over here in VB is sitting around $3 to $3.10.

With what you have seen and what you were told was going to happen that has-if the election were tomorrow who would you vote for?

This is actually a really interesting question and I’d like to see who would win if the election were held today. I’d assume Trump fairly easily

I agree there. We aren't sitting at home writing essays about how glorious our leaders are, but there was a time when the leaders of our country were respected and admired.

Maybe we'll get back there someday. Probably won't be anytime soon.
Won't happen. Hyper-partisan is moving in warp speed in the other direction. We're to the point that an absolute liberal libertarian podcaster/comedian is being cancelled because he hasn't fallen 100% in line with leftist talking points (that have almost universally been proven wrong).

The legacy media is also responsible for making everything a grossly extreme and dividing point. The United States of America simply isn't divided and hateful. Period. You'll always find some fvcks.

Everybody uses Covid as an excuse. Unfortunately my customers would not buy that if I gave them poor service. The oil companies have always made huge profits. That is nothing new at all. Under Trump we became energy independent because he knew how corrupt OPEC is. When we went energy independent it burned all bridges with OPEC and because of that we have no clout with them. Now we can produce the same amount because the pipelines were shut down. The area you live in also depends on the prices you pay at the pump. Where I am from we had truck stops that controlled the pricing market and they make their money on diesel so they would drop the price of gasoline to more or less what they were paying at the rack. That has began changing with the emergence of some new stores in the area.

I'm struggling to recall any recent time when this was true. It certainly hasn't been since Nixon. Eisenhower was generally loved I guess? Both parties courted him to run for President since he had never indicated which party he preferred while he served in and then led the armed forces.

No recent President has been in touch with the American people. Wealthy and / or Ivy League educated is not normal and does not function in reality. Trump just said all the quiet parts out loud. I didn't like him, no secret there, but we have to stop treating him like an aberration. He was the norm, just louder.

I want dtales to answer this. Or anyone that voted for Biden. Would you do it again tomorrow?

Possibly but that coordinated hit on everything Trump that was consumed by your network media stations was outright alarming. Then on the other side of the coin the cover provided for Joe on every single front is unbelievable to see in real time. Started in 2020 with the campaign.

Give me a guy who makes living affordable. Ill have my kids look up to me about morals and what's right and wrong. Because truthfully I can assure you the way the president acts has far less impact on your kids morals than all those tik toks they're watching.

If we're being honest, I probably wouldn't vote as I don't like either candidates. Gun to my head? Maybe Trump.

I'm just ready to vote in a President that's not 80+ years old.

Their answer will be Obama. His following loved/loves him so much and so blindly they truly believe he was nearly infallible and universally admired and if you don't that you're some sort of redneck bigot or racist. I literally had this discussion with a friend who left the conversation suggesting I couldn't respect him because he was black. I'm not sure I've ever been more offended.

EDIT: I'll add that I damn near voted for him in 2008 and had quite a bit of respect for him at the time. Lifelong deeply conservative voter. Didn't take long to see through the façade though.

Well you are getting there. I voted Dem my whole life. Educate yourself on what liberalism/marxism and socialism really is and what it does to the middle class.

In a couple of years you will never vote dem again. I feel imbarrassed i ever did. Everything has shifted left since Clinton.

So instead of voting for Trump (MSM labeled morally corupt) you voted for Biden whom lied about being the top of his class, plagiarized his way through college, married the babysitter after his wife "died", and is known as 10% Joe, because he's bought and paid for.

Congrats on having limited spending ability. It won't affect me, I can easily absorb the inflation and increased cost of goods. But most idiots that got caught up in mean tweets, can't.

You made your bed, and your kids.
Hahaaaaa.

I was talking about this to a friend recently. If you pay attention to leftist media and a lot of academia, there is actually a hyper critical assessment of Obama emerging. Its interesting to watch. He gets compared to Carter a lot, and I don't think thats accurate, Carter was dealt a bad hand and worked behind the scenes in much more ballsy and Cold War status quo ways then a lot of people recognize. But there is still quite a bit of mythology around Carter that the left won't touch -- even when its clearly BS. Obama is not getting that same treatment, especially on indiscriminate drone bombing and mass deportations. There is a lot of pent-up aggression toward failed "Hope and Change '08" that never emerged. It highlights well the disconnect between the old corporate democrats (Pelosi, Clinton) and the younger progressive democrats (+ Sanders).

Do I think some people generally don't like Obama because he's black? Sure. You can find a racist. But there is a lot to legitimately criticize. It was the Obama presidency that made me realize having an ivy league degree doesn't make you capable.

They’re in a cult. There’s no other explanation for even considering voting for Joe Biden at this point. I seriously don’t understand how people didn’t see this coming tho. Joe was a bumbling idiot during the campaign, and still one now. People should have their voting privileges suspended for a couple of years for ruining the country like this.

No! I gotta make her suffer! I told her to vote for trump, but all she kept saying was “I don’t like trump.” Now she wants him back. Funny thing is I’m good either way, I was jus trying to help the ones that are less fortunate than me. I’ve never seen as much money as I did in the black community when trump was in. But their brainwashed asses wanted him gone, and now they’re paying the price that they can’t afford. A wise crackhead once told me the best lesson is a bought lesson. So we’ll see midterms if they’re learning…
From your lips to God’s ears…

Interesting. I will pay closer attention to that critique. I don't consume a lot of media and academia discussion though.

I was a guy that really wanted to like B.O. I mean, I did like him and it was simply policy that really turned me away from him. Too bad, he had the world at his fingertips and could have been a legitimate united and brought the exact Hope and Change in which he promised. Now we're here...

If you deny the complete and total failure and mockery this admin is at this point just admit you're a "D" no matter what and policy/results/accountability matter not to you. I guess that's one's right but anything else is just pure dishonesty and perhaps delusion but I don't buy delusion any longer.

I get Trump had some moral issues but who in Washington doesn't. The only thing I saw different was he wasn't trained at an early age to be politically correct. Therefore he spoke his mind and sometimes that resulted in him saying stupid things. But if you truly looked at policy how can you go against what Trump did. The reason he was not liked was because he knew how the corruption worked and was trying to clean it up! He was not liked on both sides of the aisle because he was hurting everybody's pocket. The best person to clean up Washington is somebody like him that used it to his advantage for personal gain and that is what he did with the Trump business. If you looked at his donations before running it gave to both sides and that was solely for favors when he needed them. If you can tune out some of the rhetoric he actually is a very intelligent man and just about everything he said would happen has happened. He predicted most of this if Joe Biden became president.

Their fakenews don’t even talk about this administration. Trump still consumes them. I thought the repubs were consumed with Obama, but their Trump obsession is new level

Wait... You voted for him because you wanted your kids to have a man to be proud of in office? Woof. What blows my mind is the thought that Biden/Harris were portrayed as good wholesome people who cared about you... Guess there's a statute of limitation for being a racist prick. Term limits is the only answer, but even then you have to question anyones morals who wants that much power and control.

BTW I'm not questioning your parenting at all. I'm sure you're a great father. Just seems odd that it would come down to that. They're all fake and crooks.

Term limits and age limits for all three federal branches please.

I really like the idea of a one term President. Six years. Not beholden to any donors for re-election, no campaigning while in office, just six years and go away.

It's an odd false equivalence or relation but I have heard this many times including some close friends. It's really hard to even talk about because any time I've questions or been genuine in my inquiry these people shut down.

Pretty much spells it out...

Please tell us how much research you did on the first 44 presidents to come to this conclusion about Trump being the most morally corrupt of all time? I assume you've lived through 7 or 8 Presidents max, so that's a bold assertion.

There is a difference in not being a fan and making an absolute statement like that. There are quite a few US Presidents with very spotty records and a lot of skeletons in the closet...

Our nation is at a very dangerous tipping point. Thankfully, I feel there is still a pretty significant majority that believes in American values and liberties that will keep things in place or relatively, for the next couple of decades.

My kids have a tall task ahead of them in coming years.

Drunk Andrew Johnson is always fun.

You’re all good folk. Fück dem politicians (dem=them).

I’d like what’s best for the most amount of people. Unfortunately, it appears as though Democratic policies are only beneficial for the elites (politicians, entertainers, administrators, executives).

Preach to the poor, provide for the donors.

Republicans aren’t much better…but at least most of their policies are aimed at helping the middle. It’s much easier to gain from a Republican policy than it is to gain from a Democratic one, IMO.

.
I don’t think enough attention is paid to this. Cali (their great lib experiment) has the highest income inequality in the country. But let Dems tell it, they’re fighting for the middle class, when there’s no middle class in the states they run. It’s a scam!

Fairly certain this is the most I’ve ever paid for Gas…and I’m in Houston

I’m guessing this is because of the Russia conflict.

$1 more than what I filled up today. Cost me $70.50 this morning to fill up
