The No. 4 Arkansas Razorbacks (5-1, 0-0 SEC) are set to host the Grambling State Tigers (4-3, 0-0 SWAC) for a midweek matchup Tuesday afternoon at Baum-Walker Stadium in Fayetteville.

Arkansas won two of three games in the College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, over the weekend. The Razorbacks lost to Kansas State, 3-2, on Friday night before bouncing back with wins over TCU on Saturday and Michigan on Sunday.

Diamond Hogs’ junior shortstop Wehiwa Aloy enters the game fresh off winning Co-SEC Player of the Week on Monday. Aloy slashed a team-leading .571/.667/1.071 with two home runs and five RBI over four games last week.

“He got better at the very end of the season last year,” Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn said after Aloy went 4-for-4 at the plate in the win against Michigan on Sunday. “Went out to the Cape for about a month and got better, and then in the fall, we saw it most of the time. Yeah, he’s definitely really, really improved.”

The Razorbacks will start junior right-hander Ben Bybee (0-0, 9.00 ERA), who allowed one earned run on two hits in his only inning pitched this season Feb. 17 against Washington State.

Grambling State enters Tuesday’s contest also on a two-game winning streak after wins over Alabama A&M and Prairie View A&M on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The Tigers lead the SWAC in runs scored (69), doubles (14), triples (4) and RBI (61), but their pitching staff has allowed the second-most earned runs (60) and their 57 walks issued also rank second in their league.

The Tigers will start senior right-handed pitcher Carlos Peguero (0-1, 54.00 ERA) against the Hogs. Peguero allowed six earned runs on four hits in his only inning pitched last Tuesday against Louisiana-Monroe.
