I placed a FutureCast last night for in-state four-star Isaiah Sealy to commit to Arkansas.
Multiple reports yesterday indicated that he would be announcing on the 16th. He is between Arkansas, Boston College, Cal, and Ole Miss. For the longest time I felt like his recruitment was trending towards Ole Miss because of the relationship with Chris Beard, but multiple sources indicated to me yesterday that he would be committing to Arkansas as a developmental piece, similar to Casmir Chavis on this year's team. One of those sources is within the admin office and has given me a heads up on paper work for multiple prospects in recent memory that came out of nowhere, including Sanchez, Karuletwa, Watkins, etc.
A legit four-star talent, landing Sealy in general is a good take, considering he has played against top competition on the EYBL Circuit and has great size and can shoot the ball at a high level. If he indeed is more of a developmental piece, then this is a masterclass in roster-building in the modern era from Calipari, who has said multiple times he doesn't want to bring players in just to go play elsewhere. It would promote retention and development in the same system for a talented player and secure an in-state player.
