Really enjoying this series from @RileyWPS

HawgBeat's recruiting rewind series will feature a look back at all of the Arkansas football recruiting classes dating back to 2002, which is as far back as the Rivals rankings go.

The series will go in order of class ranking, which spans from 61st nationally to 16th nationally.

In the ninth edition of this series, we will be analyzing the 2003 recruiting class. The 2002 Razorback football team made an appearance in the SEC championship game against Georgia, one that the Hogs lost 30-3. Arkansas then went on to play Minnesota in the Music City Bowl and lost 29-14.

Despite the poor finish to the season, head coach Houston Nutt still had solid momentum in the program. This resulted in a 2003 recruiting class that ranked eighth in the SEC and 29th nationally.

Out of 25 commitments, only three decided to transfer. One of those was Willie Hordge, who won a silver medal in the 100 meter at the 2001 World Youth Championship in Debrecen, Hungary. Hordge was on the cover of the September 2002 edition of Track and Field News and was the 2002 Nike Athlete of the Year. After committing to Arkansas, Hordge was unable to get an ACT score high enough to attend. Instead, he attended Butler Community College where he won the 2004 Kansas Relays.

While most of the 2003 recruiting class did not see much playing time during the 2003 season, multiple players had productive careers in their time with the Hogs.

Below is a look at all 25 commits from the 2003 class, the MVP of the class, who transferred out and where each ended up.
