Arkansas' non-conference basketball schedule has been slow to release, but Hog fans reportedly now have another game to look forward to for next season.

According to a report from The Bracketeer, the Razorbacks will face off against the Illinois Fighting Illini on Nov. 28 in the upcoming season. The location is still to be determined.

A source indicates that the two programs are working on a game, have agreed to play, and are working on getting teams to fill a combined MTE (Multiple Team Event). The game is not officially set yet, but the source is confident in the game coming to fruition.

"It's happening," the source said. "They are working on location and trying to get it on CBS. Like the Michigan State vs Arizona game last Thanksgiving."

That game between the Spartans and Wildcats was part of the Acrisure Classic at Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, California. Both teams won on-campus games (Michigan State beat Alcorn State, Arizona beat UT Arlington) before advancing to the Acrisure Arena game on Nov. 23, 2023.

The last time Illinois and Arkansas met was in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament, which the Razorbacks won 73-63. The Fighting Illini lead the all-time series with a 5-1 record over Arkansas.
