Having trouble getting the story in the system so I'll just post it here, for now:

1,300 miles separate Coconut Creek (Fla.) from Fayetteville (Ark.), but that didn’t stop Arkansas commit Alexy Jean-Baptiste from making two trips to his future school in one week.

Arkansas’ coaches were still on vacation when Jean-Baptiste got his first look at Fayetteville last Thursday, so he decided to make a second trip in order to spend more time with the staff this week.

The 6-3, 205-pound outside linebacker said he feels right at home after his second visit.

“I came out here and they showed me a lot of love and that I was wanted here, unlike some other schools did,” Jean-Baptiste said. “It just felt like the right place for me. The football facility is nice, and I’m trying to bring some of my players up here, too.

“Me and Coach (Vernon) Hargreaves had a good connection, and I felt like that was the right decision to make by sticking with him. And Coach (Bret) Bielema coached my cousin, Peniel Jean, at Wisconsin.”

Jean-Baptiste enjoyed his first trip to The Hill, but this week’s visit gave him a closer look at the program and the overall atmosphere at Arkansas.

“I got to see the whole campus,” he said. “I saw everything that I hadn’t seen. I like how they have the weight room set up and how Coach runs the program.”

Another reason Jean-Baptiste made a quick turnaround was so his buddies, running back James Charles and Wisconsin linebacker commit Dallas Jeanty, could potentially get a look from the Hogs after competing in Thursday’s prospect camp.

“It was great,” Jean-Baptiste said about having his friends with him. “I want them to come up here with me, but they don’t have the offer. Dallas wanted to come here, but he was stuck in Wisconsin (last week) and that’s why he couldn’t make it down here. James Charles really wants to come here, that’s why he came out here today.”

Jean-Baptiste, who is good friends with current Razorback Alex Collins’ brother, Chris, was told he will play the weakside linebacker position when he arrives. When asked if his pledge to the Razorbacks would remain firm, he kept it short and sweet:

"It's going to stick," Jean-Baptiste said of his commitment.
