Football LOOK: Comparing 2019 vs. 2020 through Week 7

Offense continues to put space between 2020 and 2019, while the defense is still tracking ahead in most categories despite the 63 points allowed at Florida...

FB Recruiting OL commit Devon Manuel headed to the Hill + more for the weekend

Devon just let me know that he and his family will be heading up to Fayetteville for the weekend of the LSU game.

"I really just want my mom to get a chance to see the school and campus, and I'm excited to see the Hogs play in person."

He tells me he's doing great in the classroom as well as on the field even though his Beau Chene team is 1-4.

He is still getting contacted by other programs, including Texas A&M "every week," but he tells me, "I don't plan on decommitting." His plan is to sign early at the moment but he's not one of the December grads.

(SWEET 16) Hawgbert Ultimate Animal Deathmatch, Part 2: Insects and Spiders

ELITE 8 IS LIVE: https://arkansas.forums.rivals.com/...deathmatch-part-2-insects-and-spiders.110107/

Before moving on, another big congratgulations to our large-land animal victor, Elephant. May this tournament be as successful.

This is the second part of what will be a 5 part series, we'll vote on which of these insects/spiders would be the ultimate deathmatch foe.

Each round will last 24 hours, and voting locations will be linked. This event will span a couple weeks, having 5 total parts. Part 1 is Large Land Animals. Part 2 will be Insects and Spiders, Part 3 will be Birds and Other Flyers and Part 4 will be Aquatic Animals. Part 5 will have the winners of each bracket face off in an ultimate final four to determine the baddest animal out there.

Here's the premise:
-These insect and spiders all face off in a neutral environment in a battle to the death.
-1 member of each species.
-Your job is to vote for the insect or spider you believe would win this fight to the death.

Here's our bracket:

One fact about each contender (highest ranked to lowest ranked):
1. Murder Hornets: Literally murder anything it feels like.
2. Funnel-Web Spider: Most venomous spider in the world.
3. Cockroach: Stupid high defense stats...can survive nuclear explosions.
4. Botfly: Precision, precision, precision: kills foes from the inside out.
5. Killer Bee: Poor man's Murder Hornet, but has higher agility stats.
6. Titan Beetle: Bulky with a 4 inch long pincer that can snap a human finger in two.
7. Warrior Wasp: It uses disciplined and calculated attacks dealing the most painful sting in the insect kingdom.
8. Bullet Ant: The strength of an ant with the sting of a wasp.
9. Velvet Ant: Poor man's bullet ant, but like the killer bee, has higher agility stats.
10. Tarantula Hawk: Huge with a powerful sting, but is held back by it's lack of aggression.
11. Yellow Jacket: It's sting is overrated, but good luck finding a competitor with a better motor.
12. Black Widow: Very good attack stat, but it's low defense will leave it vulnerable.
13. Mantis: Truly the biggest dark horse on this list. Low agility will be its downfall, but it can deliver a knockout if the challenger doesn't take it seriously.
14. Scorpion: With overrated attack, the Scorpion boasts mediocre stats all around. No stat too low, though, which helped it make the cut.
15. Atlas Moth: These gentle giants typically aren't dangerous, but with the size of a sparrow and the ability of flight, will its defense and agility help it advance?
16. Mosquito: The weakest competitor in the game, but still somehow kills the most humans.

Hawgbert delivered in part 1; let's continue with Insects and Spiders.....

Football Opening line vs. LSU

Looks like Arkansas has opened up as the favorite vs. LSU next week. Appears the Hogs opened as a 2-point favorite and I guess quickly went up to 3-point favorite based on SEC Mike's tweet, and now it's down to 2.5 points.

It'd be the first time the Hogs are favored in an SEC game since being a 1-point favorite vs. Vandy in 2018. It'd be the first time they've been favored by multiple points in an SEC game since the South Carolina game in 2017.

It'd also be just the third time Arkansas has been favored vs. LSU since 2003. The others were in 2010 (3.5-point favorite / W, 31-23) and 2014 (1.5-point favorite / W, 17-0).
