Guitar Players GITT

So I’m bored and work is a little slow, so I thought I would start this thread for some discussion if there are any guitar players/gear heads on the Bert.

My wife(the best woman in the world) just gave me the best birthday present ever. A little back story. When I was in college, my idiot self lost my scholarship during my final year. I’m stubborn and independent and I wasn’t asking my parents for anything. So to pay for the last year of Nursing school, I had to sell my Gibson Les Paul and Marshall half stack to make it. I’ve promised myself for years that I would get another LP. Fast forward 12 years, and my wife found a Cobalt burst 2018 Les Paul Standard and got it for my birthday. I then immediately got myself in trouble by going out and buying a Marshall combo. But my word, what a feeling it is to have that roar back. My neighbors hate me.

So what do you guys play? I’m partial to Les Pauls as my guitar of choice (thanks Jimmy Page and Warren Haynes). @HogFanJW you still playing that moded 335/Sheraton?

I’ll try and not get into pedals, but the first person that mentions anything pedal related, I’m going off on a huge tangent. You’ve been warned.

BB Recruiting Arkansas's four signees see final rankings boost

Bossi posted about this late last night but all four of Arkansas's signees saw a boost to their final Rivals150 ranking. I breakdown how their rankings changed throughout the process and where they finished on Rivals, ESPN and 247: https://arkansas.rivals.com/news/all-four-arkansas-signees-see-boost-in-final-rivals150-rankings

2020 Final rankings for basketball

The final Rivals150 for 2020 has been posted. All Arkansas signees with slight climbs and Arkansas has the No. 8 ranked class overall, the highest put together by any staff in their first year at a school and all homegrown kids. Not too shabby.

3,000th message (something y’all might appreciate)

I wanted to save my 3,000th message on here for something special (I’m a sentimental b*stard). Well, I’ve landed interviews with a pretty interesting collection of media members and former Razorbacks. I don’t even know if I’m really technically allowed to post this here (Delete this if I’m not @nikkichavanelle) but if you have any questions for: Olu Famutimi, Aaron Torres, Stef Welsh, or Alandise Harris, let me know. In the near future I’ll sit down with each of them.

Football HawgBert Super Fan Features

I've been trying to think of ways we can offer you guys, our current subscribers, a reward for being loyal to us and offer you a chance to maybe get a break on your payment here. It's not a lot of money, but there are a lot of people out there who either have been impacted or will be impacted in the coming months and probably looking to save every dollar you can. The fact that so many of you will continue to spend some of your discretionary income here every month or every year is not something I take lightly.

So here's what I came up with: Every week, Hutch or I will feature one of you, a Razorback fan, on the site. And the best part for me is, you're going to do most of the work. Here's how it works:

Respond to this thread. Tell me about who you are, why you're an Arkansas fan, when and how you became a Razorback fan, what your connection is to the school, what some of your best memories are, etc. You don't have to include all that, you can include all that and more. It's totally up to you. But what I'm going to do is every week I'm going to come back to this thread and pick a new post. I'm going to contact that poster via direct message or email with some follow up questions and I'm going to do a HawgBeat fan feature. This will be posted on the front page, it will be posted on the message board, it will be tweeted out and posted on our Facebook page. It will basically be a "meet your fellow Razorback fan" feature every Monday until fall camp opens.

The reward for replying and doing this? Every person who gets featured is going to get a free year on the site. The more detail you offer in your reply, the more unique your story, the better chance I pick you to feature. Once your story runs, I'll extend your subscription for a year on us. So that's probably about 15 of you who are going to get a free year. And even those who don't, this can serve as a way to meet your fellow fans, to build a little more sense of community and commonality around here. So post away.

Who makes the Playoffs this year?

With COVID compromising every teams' ability to practice/meetings/train/etc., will we see a shake up in the usual playoff teams?

Clempsun and Ohio State are virtual locks, especially with the schedule that both teams have.

Who are the other two?

LSU was a one hit wonder and will be 7-5 and with Myles Brennan at QB/losing 75% of their defense.

Saban seems to have lost his IT factor and it is bleeding into his team. They will lose one or two this year, for sure.

Winner of the SEC will obviously be in.. but who will it be? I think Auburn runs the table. UGA will be down a bit, without Fromm's leadership. Auburn has two true road games.. at UGA and at Bama. Other than that, pretty much a cake walk. If Florida wins the East, I see Auburn winning the title game and making the playoffs.

Oregon is always in it, but can they get over the hump?

Will the NCAA put OU in the playoffs AGAIN? If they go 13-0 the committee won't have a choice. Excited to see Rattler this year, as I think he is a lot more dynamic than Hurts and their Fresh/Soph receivers are crazy good.

All that to say, I've got: Clemson, tOSU, AllBarn, and Boomer. Who you got?
