So, with Ellis Johnson and Muschamp not working out

What does Auburn do now? How in the world does Gus and AU scrape up another high level DC at this point? Whether a DC could be successful under Gus has always been in question anyway, and now two of the top names in the business have come and gone in 3 years. And it's not like joining a staff one less than stellar season away from being canned is ever a good landing spot anyway. Looking more and more like Gus is about to crash in the real world of big boy football.

And yeah, with this being the 10th anniversary of the Gus machine's arrival in Fayetteville, I do find it amusing. It's been amazing he has made it this far.

Who to pull for Monday night in the Championship game?

Alabama or Ohio Skate
I'm sooo tired of watching Bama on TV, probably the biggest cheating team (and look what it does for you) and Ohio State, most likely the 2nd biggest cheating team.
What does this tell us?
Like many other good solid teams, your gonna have to act like the big boys in order to stay even remotely close to them.

What do we need to do? Restructure the rules totally?
AND when restructured, what then?

OT The Non-political thread

Just curious to get the boards thoughts on the following topics...

How Isaiah Joe's knee injury will affect his Bid to enroll in the NBA Draft?

@HogPocket9455 opinion on the historical accuracy of Disney's Pocahontas.

Andrewwoopigsooie review of the Yang restaurant providence in Rhode Island.

Does the board think the mayor of Cincinnati should be Pete Rose?

And should there be a remake of Weekend at Bernie’s

And finally, do any of the above items trump our current football coaching administration's recruiting performance thus far?

Odom contract

There is a lot of mis-information going on surrounding Odom.

Odom is still drawing a salary from Mizz. I believe the guarantee is around $2.4M. Arkansas paid him like $1.2M last year, so he drew another $1.2M from Mizz. Arkansas is not about to announce an extension and up payment to $2M and save Mizz money on their guarantee. That makes no sense.

I've seen rumors he turned down Texas for more money, etc. No he didn't. Sure he turned down Texas. But money has nothing to do with it. He's guaranteed $2.4M next year regardless who pays it. Texas didn't offer to pay him $1.5 or $2M when it doesn't matter to Odom who pays the money. if someone offered him more money it would just take Mizz off the hook. So money is zero motivator to Odom taking any job right now.

Lady Hogs fall to Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The third SEC game of the season for Arkansas saw the 13th ranked Razorbacks (10-3, 1-2) fall to the Tennessee Lady Volunteers (7-1, 1-0), 88-73. The Hogs grabbed an early lead, but with 5:13 to go in the second quarter, Tennessee grabbed a one-point advantage, one the Lady Vols would never surrender.
Redshirt senior Chelsea Dungee led the Hogs on the scoring sheet, going for 30, marking her ninth career game going for 30 or more points. Destiny Slocum and Amber Ramirez also reached double figures, as both shot fifty percent from the field en route to 17 and 15 point games, respectively.

TURNING POINT

The game started off tight, both teams exchanging the lead in the first and second quarters. But Tennessee went on a 10-0 run in the final minutes of the first half that extended its lead to seven heading into the locker room.

Arkansas was unable to recover from the end of the second quarter on, and although the game remained close through the third quarter, Tennessee’s three-point defense kept the Hogs at an arm’s length. The Lady Volunteers were helped by big performances from senior Rennia Davis and junior Rae Burrell, who both notched 26 points in the win.

HOG HIGHLIGHTS
  • Dungee’s scored 30 points and pulled down seven rebounds, both season-highs.
  • It was Dungee’s 16th straight game scoring in double-figures.
  • Dungee also nabbed five steals in the game, a new season-high. It was the second five-steal performance from a Hog this season.
  • Slocum helped keep the Hogs afloat after the halftime intermission, scoring 14 of her 17 points in the second half.
  • The Razorbacks shot 83% from the charity stripe, knocking down 20 of their 24 free throw attempts.
  • It was the Hogs’ eighth game this season making 20+ free throws.
  • Tennessee was held to just 29% from 3-point range, making only five of its 17 attempts from behind the arc.

    NEXT TIME OUT

The Hogs return home, where a matchup with No. 8 Texas A&M awaits. That game will air live on the SEC Network, and tip-off at 3 p.m.

Financial Experts...advice needed

I just got an email from HR about our 401K loan/payout. Thinking about taking advantage of the 100% withdrawl. Get some money in the market, buy a new truck, use it for the kid that is coming in August, etc.

▪ We are adding a new type of withdrawal called a Coronavirus Related Distribution (CRD). A CRD comes with several special tax provisions and other benefits that make it more valuable than typical withdrawals. CRDs are capped at $100,000 and are generally available to participants who have experienced a financial set back due to COVID-19.
▪ We are increasing the number of loans available under the Plan from one to two to allow employees who already have a loan to access more of their account through an additional loan.
▪ We are increasing the limits on the size of a loan you can take. The current limit is the lesser of $50,000 or 50% of your available account balance. The new limit is the lesser of $100,000 or 100% of your available account balance. The newly increased limit is available on loans taken by September 23, 2020 if you have experienced a financial set back due to COVID-19.
▪ You will be able to choose to temporarily suspend the payments on your Plan loans (current loans and new loans).
▪ If you are affected by a business furlough, your payments on any of your Plan loans will automatically be suspended until the earlier of the date you return to work, or for one year.

Anyone else surprised

that Tate took that last 3, no set ran, if I remember correctly. I'm not complaining, thought it looked good. All off season if I had to guess from reading posts on here, it would have been Notae taking that shot 10/10 times, no questions asked. Have been really impressed with Tate's overall game though. Great addition. If already discussed, my bad.

2020/2021 Basketball Transfer List

Figured with there being so many transfers already and more to come we should have a running thread of any transfer we find interesting or one that we believe Muss will target. I'll start:

Joel Ntambwe. Started his career out at UNLV. Transferred and sat out a year at Texas Tech. Was averaging 14 minutes per game this season for the Red Raiders and decided to take his talents elsewhere. Muss has knowledge of this kid and seems to fit the style of play. Shot 114 threes as a freshman at UNLV and connected at a 39% rate. Big body that could play multiple positions. Averaged 8.5 per game versus Muss his freshman season.
