What in the world is that old man doing up there? I respect the heck out of him, but what's happening? He has 16 commits already, with 11 of them being 4*.

I do believe that shifts as lots of kids will flip once they are able to go on their campus visits. We know that is going to happen more this year than ever before as they are all committing based off of virtual visits.

A Sports Site In a World Without Sports

Unless you’re watching pro wrestling without a crowd, little league baseball, or rocket league on ESPN, there aren’t any live sports on right now. Even without live sports, there has been PLENTY to talk about.

- the most transfers I’ve ever SEEN in a single off-season
- NBA/MLB player and owner drama
- college athletes potentially getting paid
- first year for Pitt (which NIKKI and Hutch are bringing multiple new articles every single day)
- Muss has plenty of podcast appearances to listen to
- we’re playing in-State schools in all major sports
- we don’t have a scholarship cap in baseball

The list goes on. Politics/social movements have always, ALWAYS been merged with sports. Why does this specific time period have to be the end-all be-all for some people? Watch a coach and a player have a disagreement over racial insensitivities and then talk it out. That’s still sports news. MLB/NBA players not playing for lowered salaries is nothing new, the only thing that’s changed is the virus aspect of it. Everything else sports related is still just sports.

So that leaves a coronavirus thread. A thread about a pandemic (that’s factual; can’t dispute that it’s a pandemic, regardless of how big or small of an issue it is) is enough to make people leave a site in the midst of a ton of major sports news stories? Y’all seriously need to grow a damn pair.

OT As a Veteran, I find myself disappointed (warning: politics)

I find myself disappointed in our country right now.

I don’t usually do this kind of post but I have to put it out there. As a soldier, I fought for the ability of people to live free of tyranny. For people to live how they want, raise their kids how they want, and think how they want so long as it didn’t get in the way of someone else’s freedom. Yet, all I see on TV now is a country spiraling into an eventual government that dictates everything about our lives. People have the right to do and feel how they want without persecution so long as they don’t infringe on the rights of others. The same law that is supposed to protect a black man from being denied his ability to live in a way he sees fit without persecution so long as he is following the law is the same law that protects the racist from being done the same way. The same law that allows Black Lives Matter also allows the KKK. Since when did we decide that the best way to make one group happy was to attack the other group as a government? Is racism awful and are those factions like the KKK awful? Yes, but they have the same right to how they feel so long as they follow the law as Black Lives Matter or any other faction. We are becoming so caught up in trying to make amends to one race of people that we are systematically taking away the rights of another race of people. Does the Rebel flag represent slavery to some races? Yes. Does it stand for the heritage And history of another race? Yes. So what’s next? Are we going to change the American Flag, too? I have no problem with people advocating for what they believe in no matter how ridiculous it is. But when we get to the point that we deny people jobs, their ability to participate, and we start making laws that tear down beliefs simply because of what it means to someone else then I have a problem. There are ALWAYS going to be someone offended by something someone else does, has, or believes. You don’t make laws and policies to take away the rights of one group to appease another. That’s not democracy, that’s mob mentality.
