Football Razorback Roster Rundown: No. 10 Bumper Pool

https://arkansas.rivals.com/news/razorback-roster-rundown-no-10-bumper-pool

Went back and read his quote from when he committed:
"[Bielema] has done a phenomenal job changing the program from where it was when he got there," he said. "You can see the excitement in the players, he's been getting good wins, and he's doing a good job of getting Arkansas back to being a high-caliber SEC school and competing for that conference title."

JJ Meadors on Danny Ford practices

I’ll try to put the link in here, I have varying degrees of success with that. But anyway just found a YouTube from HTL where JJ said in Ford’s practices “If you dressed out you got hit“ ..all the way to Thursday on game week.
No surprise to anyone that remembers the Ford era. The team always looked dead legged on Saturday, like they were glued to the ground. Especially the defense. I noticed it a lot and I know I wasn’t the only one. Broyles said he’d never seen as much hitting during the week in season, and he came from no face mask era.
Lately we have had coaches that went too far the other way. Looked like our teams the last few years were used to no contact football and wanted no part of it come Saturday. The first thing Pitt said to his team was “the no contact practices are over”. Not sure if that’s one of the things that won them over but it seemed to be well received news. Any good football player knows you gotta have some. Not as much as Ford but he was pretty unique in his approach on it. I think if he’d have changed that part of his routine he may well have been here longer.

FB Recruiting HawgBeat Big Board Notebook: June 22, 2020

https://arkansas.rivals.com/news/hawgbeat-2021-target-big-board

Not many changes since last week but after talking to Albert Regis and hearing how excited he was about his Arkansas offer, I added him to the board at DT. There are still just four DTs on the board (two high school and two JUCO).

Florida 4-star corner Ricardo Hallman is due to come off the board this afternoon with a probable commitment to Wisconsin. The Badgers recruited him for several more months than Arkansas but the Hogs may still get an official visit down the line. With him off the board, it seems like Norwood, Markevious Brown and Hairston are the most likely options at this point but more DBs could get offered.

Hairston had Arkansas in his top 8 in May and then said he was going to announce soon. It wasn't Arkansas at the time but now he's slowing things back down and it looks like the Hogs will get more of a chance for the Michigan native.

Yall saw Sam post about Arkansas being amongst the top contenders for 4-star Cam'Ron Valdez but with his main position being RB and the Hogs already having two, I think it's highly unlikely he chooses to come here with that much competition. Texas Tech was ranked first among the contenders and they don't have an RB at this point.

I tried to catch up with the defensive ends this weekend but apparently they weren't in the mood to talk, so I'll keep trying.

Word on the Hill is Arkansas is getting closer to cracking Erin Outley. I hit him up Friday and he responded but didn't wanna do an interview so for now, it's just hearsay.

Eli Drinkwitz must've seen my tweets last week because after the Razorbacks pushed ahead of them in the rankings, the Tigers landed 3 commits in four days including a teammate of Raheim Sanders. Silver lining: Arkansas wasn't recruiting any of their new additions.

The rankings are pretty unusual right now with just two teams (Florida and Tennessee) in the top 10. Their classes are almost done. It's clear to me teams like LSU, Georgia and Alabama aren't in a rush to take commitments. Georgia has the ONLY 5-star SEC commit––11 5-stars are still undecided, which is normal since a lot of them like to drag things out.

OT Hochatown Oklahoma

Since sports is slow and I don't discuss religion or the P word in public. Have any of you been to Hochatown Ok lately? Some of you may know nothing about it but the new Branson is in its fledgling in the edge of Oklahoma, I have been there a million times its only about an hour from me. Located on Broken Bow lake this place is insane, 15 years ago it was 1 little store now OMG, $1000 a night cabins that are breathtaking, restaurants on top of restaurants, go carts, putt putt. Escape rooms and the Choctaws are about to start a mega resort and casino. Golf course on the lake. When I was about 24 years old this old man tried selling me 40 acres in the middle of it all for $10,000 which nothing was there then. i remember telling him I wouldn't pay the taxes for it. That place is probably worth 5 million now. It had been a year or so since I had been up there but made the trip Saturday and the changes in a year shocked me. That place will be something in a few years, I've found everything there except a cake/cupcake shop I think you could get rich catering kids bday parties and selling to the people in the cabins at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
