But he did lie. They released the phone recording Minny. He discussed what he said it did not discuss. He also told the Russians to retaliate against America...borderline treason. Hadn’t really paid attention to other news over the last few days - but read tonight that Trump had more votes in Pennsylvania than Sleepy Joe & Crazy Bernie combined in Tuesday’s primary. That’s interesting

How do you interpret that as bad?
I read it as him saying just to hold off retaliation on the US so they can deal with it. This is 3 weeks before they take office.
Maybe I’m reading it wrong but that’s how I see it.
I see it as him undermining sanctions placed on Russia for their election interference (which has bipartisan acknowledgment) by telling them to respond reciprocally, which is him encouraging some level of retaliation against America. It also plays as a (when we take office, this will all go away) type of thing.
This BS about the interviewers not thinking he lied is also misleading. The interviews who were monitoring is body language based on that they didn’t think he knowingly lied. The guys a general, likely knows how to lie. They also confirmed that his answers were inconsistent with what was said. Which they were.
Yet I’m told Flynn is a hero and I should disregard Mattis because he is suddenly a deep state puppet based on some stupidity about him not coming out in support of Flynn.
I also provided an article about how Mattis presided over another investigation of Flynn back around 2012 or 2013 that was initiated by other generals at the time, not Mattis.
In retaliation, Flynn tried to cross Mattis’ name off the list of SecDef candidates.

As with most things political, we all interpret things differently. In reading it(imo), Flynn knows Russia has to respond in some way(there’s more context to that than your quote)and is going to. He asked them not to go crazy with it. Seems reasonable to me and it’s also not really discussing sanctions imo. There’s not any in-depth discussion there. Just a simple hold off while they transition into office and so they don’t immediately start off going at each other’s throats.
Sure seems to be some gate between Mattis and Flynn. I’m not going to bash Mattis because I know nothing, but he has been fired bye both Obama and Trump now, I would guess there’s some legitimate reasons, and the same can be said for Flynn.
It should also be noted that Flynn did not yet have authorization to negotiate on that level.
As far as Mattis being fired by Obama, or resigning, it is simply due to butting heads. Nothing nefarious.

It’s really not that good of a read though. I watched it live. Some people will sell out everything they believe in for Trump.
But then again, “my lawyer wrote this really good thing about me and definitely doesn’t have any conflicts of interest” probably doesn’t mislead people quite as well.

He referred to protestors as terrorists, used the term snowflake, referred to local government wetting itself, and of course went into anti Obama tirade toward the end because “what about Obama!” is somehow always the go to.
There’s also the conflict of interest part.
And now Trumps supporters are filling that twitter timeline with asinine conspiracy theories about Mattis that this letter encourages.
For all of the eloquence of the Mattis letter, this has none.
I’ve got to get up in 5 hours so last post. We simply disagree. I don’t see how that can be considered a negotiation, it’s not even close imo, it’s a simple ask to hold off until they get in office and figure things out.

Technically you’re right, he resigned, But as with most cases people are allowed to resign out of respect. There’s stories that Obama replaces him and didn’t even give a phone call letting him know.
As in most cases with our media, it’s hard to know the truth.

Oh and Flynn never said he didn’t discuss anything, ur wrong here. he said he could exactly remember what was said. Two different things. Those same agents also told him that he wasn’t under investigation and that he didn’t need a lawyer during the questioning. Flynn was a fool for believing that.
