Congrats Joe Biden!!! #46 President of the United States!

This is a solid point. If Trump won, CNN would pass out torches while telling everyone who will listen they will die a slow death over the next few months.

Now we can get back to the media talking about the Presidents favorite ice cream.
Take away the increase in taxes, loss of millions of jobs related in the O&G industry, increased welfare state, government oversight, and this presidency doesn't look too bad!

Won’t the increase of jobs in other energy sectors(solar, wind, etc) offset those O&G jobs?

They lost the senate. Well, until a city pulls thousands of votes out of their asses...

Unless someone like Romney just decides to change parties, I feel like we’re going to see a lot of 2014-2016: nothing getting done.

Actually yes, the two are almost spitting images of one another. Both require the same types of jobs

Disclaimer: this post is dripping with sarcasm.

We’re talking about comments the President said. Why are you bringing up articles that are irrelevant to the conversation?
The President commented that the election was being stolen. You showed your dismay for that comment and declared it to be 100% false in the pollyanna world in which you live. i showed you verified evidence that Democrats in fact try to steal elections all of the time. You then comment to me about the President's comments. You are having a hard time stringing conversations together. Go to sleep.

Lol!!! Stick to IT, Economics and Business ain't your thing!!!!

Like a motherphuckin Resovoir engineer making $200k/year is going to be able to slide into a position at a Wind Farm for the same amount!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

This is the problem. Too many people are ignorant to the realities of the economy and just parrot what the politicians and/or MSM tell them..

Florida passing a $15 minimum wage and then voting for trump by 3+ points really spits in the face of the political pundits.

Voters are much more nuanced than identify politics. You give them measures that help out their daily lives and potentially their wallet and you win. Amazing concept.

I'm 100000000% okay with state's passing their own minimum wage. This shouldn't be handled at the national level imo

Agree. Cost of Living is just so vastly different across the country, a blanket minimum way doesn't make a ton of senses.

Only way it could potentially work is I'm they set a wage (like 12-15/hr) that inflates state by state based on the cost of living index (would be insanely complicated)

Most issues at hand should be handled at the state level, imo. Less government oversight at the national level, less federal taxation.

I’m trying to think of what the MSM will talk about next month...

Will LeBron now think that all black lives matter?

The options are limitless.

Genuinely agree. The biggest thing the federal government should be more involved, from my lefty perspective, would be guaranteeing people healthcare. Thats simply bc I believe everyone should have a right to healthcare in this country regardless of job status, insurance, etc.

I saw a poll that said 52% of Americans were more concerned with Covid than the economy. A lot of sheep live in this country.
And there were some folks on here that didn't think the covid farce was being done for political purposes..........

hahahaha

Everyone has always had the right to healthcare. No one has ever been prevented from going to the Dr. What are you talking about?

What an assaine poll. If you can't see how the economy and covid are co-mingled then you are truly special
People don’t care. Exit polls for Dems said 30% believed the personal character of the candidate determined their vote while 70% said their ideals/plans were the determining factor.

Will be interesting to see how Republicans respond.

No flame, but curious if anyone has thoughts on QAnon and what happens to the movement after the election. Does a Biden win put the movement to rest, or will it pivot to something else?

That QAnon candidate in Colorado won so I doubt it.

With oil and gas having their nuts ripped out, this will have serious negative effects on the steel industry as well, correct?
Steel and about 500 other industries. Accounting, banking, construction, trucking, legal, engineering, hotels, restaurants, bars, you name it.

No. They'll all work in the renewables industry now.
Just give the government time.

They need to dish out another 2T for Covid stimulus, 2-3T a year for new government run health care, remove 10k dollars from student loan debt, subsidize non tax paying individuals, and pay back our trillions for the Paris accord.

After that, then they’ll work on destroying the energy industry. Give them time.

I'm not going to get a deep discussion right now, but of course you can go a Dr. But if you don't have insurance and you end up having to pay thousands if not 10's of thousands in medical bills thats bullshit. The term medical banktuptcy should not be a term that exists.

Go Fund Me is the 3rd "largest" insurance provider in the country.

I just don’t see how we could run a socialized medicine plan with this large of a diverse population. It would be nice, but the finances of it would be astronomical. Maybe the moneys there and just not spent well. Not sure.
