I’ll be intrigued to see what 2022 looks like, to be honest.
Trump is absolutely bat shit bonkers, but I think there’s a very strong argument that every single one of his positions would be backed by a general Republican. However, the Dems have gone off the deep end on literally every political issue.
If they are losing nail biters when it’s obvious the “anti-Trump” rhetoric has been the MO for 4 years, how will they bring out their voters in 2 years.
Because racism should be over now, I was told Trump was the problem.
Heath care issues
Taxes
Unemployment
Covid
All of these things should be miraculously cured now that the diagnosed disease is gone.
Perhaps, and go with me here, have the Democrats won the next four years to subsequently lose the next 8, today? How do you get Apple (she/him/ze) to go to the polls now that all has been corrected?
My guess, they’ll be like, “give me more time...” I hope the Rs spend the next two years working on how to redirect that stupidity.

If you see a change in leadership amongst the Dem that would bowed well for them. If you still see Pelosi, Schmur, and other DCCC puppets running the show, than they are f*cked for 2022. IMO

Maybe if the president had absolute power, but we know that's not how it works. I don't expect a lot to get done with the Rs still controlling the senate.
If it's just for messaging purposes they need a new game plan and quick.
I don’t want to disagree just to disagree, but I kind of think the opposite. Not because you’re wrong in that they need new direction, but I think it would be VERY interesting to see how they would transition. Here in Texas, and in many other areas, in 2018 the predominate theme was, “I won’t be a Pelosi Democrat.” This was FOR their base. They viewed her as far too conservative...it’s why she clashed so much with AOC et al and said AOCs district could be won by a glass of water.
If she’s out, do they go more neutral, or further left...perhaps I’m biased, but I feel like there’s a STRONG push to go further left. Just look at all of the pandering they do in the Congress - not clapping, ripping up papers, dressing in all white to show solidarity, dressing in African garb, and on and on and on.
But in a congress that’s now about a +25 or so...you have a legit 10 crazy Congress individuals who want insane adjustments...can you appease those with moderate ideals with a small majority?

But how many times has it been said, “trumps rhetoric is making the country racist...trump hates your pre existing conditions...Trump wants to control your vagina...Trump wants California to burn...”
EVERYTHING has been his fault. The media has propagated the executive branch as this dictatorial, fascist, position that can impose sanctions on those he doesn’t like and favor on those he likes.
How do they change that narrative now?

Yeah, you can now buy crack at the 7/11...but that doesn’t mean it’s not still highly addictive and greatly reduces your ability to be a functioning human being.
My main issue with them isn't so much they are too conservative. It's that the are elite and smug. But the biggest thing is that their messaging SUCKS ASS. They have to compete with Fox News and Facebook and are very illequipped to do so when compared to the Republican Machine.
All they know how to do is appeal to the "woke" voter within skin deep actions that don't really mean anything (like many of the things you described).
If you can find a moderate representative to whip the lunies, communicate to MSM, and provide a message that Republicans won’t exploit...you probably have your next D president.

If a stupid person gets legal rights to a drug that will destroy their life, it’s not going to go well for them. Additionally, other morons from states will come into the state to have that right and increase the concentration of homeless, drug use, and crime. Just because you give a crack addict the right to crack doesn’t mean he’s now not going to steal in order to get that next fix.

The AP is reporting that Trump will win Maine’s second congressional district. I don’t think this impacts the race at all
It doesn't. Biden is currently at 270, Maine-02 would've given him 271. Biden winning NE-2 was crucial.
I think he has 264...Nevada is still definitely in play. Not sold on AZ. But 8k votes is nothing with 100ks of the vote possibly still out there.
Assuming trump doesn’t upset in Arizona or Nevada. Which I don’t see either happening. I think trumps lead is going to hold in PA. This is an insanely close race.

Yeah, I meant if current results hold. With MI/WI/AZ/NV, that's 270. Vegas is like 75% of the vote in NV, and that's going to go heavy Biden once mail in ballots are counted tomorrow. That race shouldn't be in question.
Yeah, they might. That's their right. It isn't their right to steal from others. The issue isn't the dope heads, the issue is the government enacts this law but also will put them in state facilities/hospitals when they OD. Thus continuing the cycle. For a law like this to actually work, they'd have to let the crack heads just poison themselves to death.
